... it's me with my new years resolutions.

How is it already 10 days in?! I can't believe it, except I can believe it because Christmas feels like it was already a month ago and that January has been going on forever even though my kids just went back to school this week. Time is a funny thing.

Did you know that in Ireland (according to the internet, and not an actual Irish person) on January 6th they celebrate Mother's Little Christmas. A day when ALL the women leave all their work for the men folk and the women go down to the pub for a pint and laughter and cheer. At least that's how I have romanticized it.

Whether it's real or made up I think it's a really good idea! Something that we as women need to start doing more regularly to make it known that we deserve breaks, even if we are only trying to convince ourselves.

I challenge you this week to take AT LEAST 30 minutes for a really grounded break. Make it decadent!!

The next thing I want you to do, (great just what you need, someone else on the internet shouting orders at you, but mine are helpful I swear), but I want you to rethink your resolutions. The title of this is about the Roman god Janus, a two headed god that has one face to look back toward the past and one to look toward the future. When we look back on our lived experiences we can use that to inform how we move forward. So look back at December, at what you did, what you liked what you didn't like. Use that information to decide what you want more or less of throughout the rest of January. Oh guess what, that Roman god is the namesake of January, pretty fun, huh?

Lastly, if you are struggling with resolutions this year, if you should do them if you shouldn't, if you are keeping your head under a pillow like the groundhog, I would encourage you to take a listen to the podcast episode this week about Resolution Remix.

I think this is great new way to make resolutions that really are EMBODIED with how you want to feel and what actions will give you those feelings.

I hope you enjoy it

I have some workbook pages for you as well, if it helps to write it out or see it visually.

Weekly Workbook

Until next week, I hope you're feeling great!
